Writing as a teenager

Writing as a teenager could be hard for some people but could be easy if you know what you are doing. like if you know how punctuation sentences and use correct grammar. For some people writing can be a piece of cake but if u don't like writing it may be difficult. Writing could be easy if you make it easy and can be hard if you make it hard. For me I don't like writing but everybody gets to write about something or for someone. Sometimes teenagers don't like writing because its either boring or they don't like writing a lot.

  1. I think everyone has the potential to write something they just need a interesting topic there into and enjoy taking about. Writing can be like a sport you just need to practice to make perfection.

    1. Yes Saul, I think comparing writing to practicing a sport is a great way to look at the skill.

  2. True.. I think that using good grammar and punctuation is also another complicated part about writing as a teenager. Especially when the teachers but so much pressure on us about it.

  3. Marcos, I am pretty sure I didn’t like writing when I was your age either. Part of the problem in high school is that the practice is not consistent amongst grade levels and the emphasis is more about reading and interpretation with the expectation that you all learned how to write properly in grammar school. But when we don’t use a skill, we sometimes lose the skill---so practice certainly can’t hurt! Even though it isn’t always fun to work on skills we don’t enjoy, maybe we should think about working more on the things we aren’t the greatest at and perhaps we can balance our bag of skills that we need for the rest of our lives. In addition, expanding our vocabulary base through reading can enhance our writing too. For some of us, turning off the TV, social media and text messages is what will provide us with more time to practice the skills that require focus.
